We request your help to understand how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting researchers at your institution.

A research team from Harvard and Northwestern Universities has developed a short survey for a study of how science is changing because of the pandemic. Your administration is partnering with them to gain better insights into how the pandemic is impacting researchers at your university. The survey typically requires 5-6 minutes to complete.

Click here to complete the survey or, copy and paste the URL below into your internet browser:

Upon completion of the survey, you can choose charities to receive a donation on your behalf and you may have the chance of winning a $100 gift card provided by the research team.

This survey is IRB-approved by the researchers’ institutions, and no individual-level data will be shared with your administration (including whether you participate or not). Upon completion of the study, your administration will receive only an aggregated report of the results. Your personal data will never be made public.

Please feel free to forward this survey to any other researchers you know, including postdocs and graduate students. Broader participation will allow us to fully understand the breadth of the pandemic’s impacts on research and researchers.

Note: you may have previously received this survey directly from the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard. If you have already completed the survey, please do not complete it a second time.

We are grateful to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for support.
