As an intern at The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Alexander supported projects to reduce poverty in the Amazon. After completing his bachelor's degree in economics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (PUCP), he worked for the Department of Economics at Yale university on issues related to teacher migration in Peru using high performance computing methods. He has also collaborated with Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in projects related to innovation economics and patents in Switzerland. His research interests are economics of innovation, debiased machine learning, and Microeconometrics.
