Charles Ayoubi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH) supported by a research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). His research examines the processes of knowledge creation and diffusion in the context of science and innovation. He studies how scientists use of their resources and informational advantages to achieve scientific breakthroughs, greater dissemination of knowledge and accessibility of innovation. He is particularly interested in how information and knowledge diffuse among highly qualified individuals. His research uses causal inference statistical methods to understand how interventions can promote more effective knowledge transfer and more inclusive innovation systems. He holds a PhD in Economics and Management of Innovation from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC (Paris, France), and a Master in Energy Engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris.
